The third edition of the Hamba Pakistani Mango Exhibition has opened at Souq Waqif Doha, bringing the vibrant flavours, colours and culture of Pakistan to the heart of Doha.

Running until 18 July 2026, the exhibition featuring more than 30 exhibitors, over 10 premium varieties of Pakistani mangoes, and a wide selection of food and agricultural products that celebrate one of Pakistan's most cherished fruits.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Mrs Kubra Goksu, spouse of Turkish ambassador Dr Mustafa Goksu in presence of Abdulrahman Mohammed Al-Naama, representing the Private Engineering Office (PEO); Pakistan's Ambassador to Qatar, Muhammad Aamer, ambassadors from several countries, members of the diplomatic corps, and invited guests. The event is jointly organised by the PEO's Celebrations Committee and the Embassy of Pakistan.

Open daily from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm in a fully air-conditioned giant tent 100m x 30m at Souq Waqif Doha, the exhibition offers visitors a unique opportunity to taste, purchase and learn about Pakistan's world-renowned mangoes in a family-friendly setting.

More than 10 popular varieties are on display, including Chaunsa, Anwar Ratol, Dusehri and Sindhri among other delicious varieties, alongside seasonal fruits such as apricots, peaches, jamun and chikoo. More than 30 food exhibitors and restaurants are also serving mango-inspired desserts, juices, ice cream, pickles and authentic Pakistani cuisine.

Speaking to Asian Telegraph, Khalid Saif AlSuwaidi, General Supervisor of Events at the Private Engineering Department, said preparations for the exhibition had been underway for the past three months. He expressed appreciation to the Embassy of Pakistan for its collaboration and noted that this year's event has expanded in both scale and variety.

AlSuwaidi said visitors are enjoying more than 10 varieties of Pakistani mangoes and a diverse range of mango-based recipes prepared by participating restaurants. He added that Pakistani mangoes continue to gain popularity among residents and visitors in Qatar, with large crowds attending the exhibition every day. One of the exhibition's distinctive features is the opportunity for visitors to taste different mango varieties before purchasing them, allowing them to appreciate the unique flavour and quality of each variety.

He also highlighted the organisers' strong commitment to food quality and safety, noting that products undergo daily inspections and laboratory testing in co-operation with Qatar's Ministry of Public Health to ensure the highest standards are maintained throughout the event.

Meanwhile, Dr. Mustafa Goksu, Ambassador of Türkiye to Qatar, expressed his appreciation to Ambassador Muhammad Aamer for his active role in promoting Pakistan through initiatives such as the mango exhibition. He also thanked the management of Souq Waqif for providing an excellent venue for the event and praised the Government of Qatar, the Embassy of Pakistan and all participants for making the exhibition a memorable cultural and culinary celebration.

Ambassador of Pakistan Muhammad Aamer thanked Private Engineering Department and the participating institutions partnering in organizing a unique event, He said that Pakistan is the world's fifth-largest producer of mangoes, harvesting more than 1.8 million tonnes annually.

Pakistan’s envoy added that building on the success of previous editions, this year's exhibition is expected to attract record numbers of visitors while further strengthening cultural and commercial ties between Pakistan, Qatar and communities living in Qatar.

Israr Khan Malazi, President of the Pakistan Business Council Qatar, described the exhibition as a remarkable celebration of Pakistan's culture, heritage and agricultural excellence. He said the atmosphere makes many members of the Pakistani community feel as though they are back home, while also reminding them that Qatar has become their second home.

Malazi praised the exceptional taste and quality of Pakistani mangoes, describing them as unmatched in the world. He also commended the Embassy of Pakistan and the Private Engineering Department of the Diwan-e-Amiri for organising an event that enables families and visitors from different nationalities to come together despite the summer heat of nearly 47°C. He said the exhibition not only promotes Pakistan's premium agricultural products but also strengthens cultural understanding and people-to-people ties, adding that the Pakistani community is proud of the organisers' efforts.
