After 19 years of bringing Doha’s international business community together, Back 2 Business stands strong. Recently, Pullman Hotel Doha West Bay welcomed 300 participants, sending a powerful message of resilience, unity and confidence in Doha’s business community.

Held twice a year, Back 2 Business has become an established fixture on Qatar’s professional calendar, creating opportunities for entrepreneurs, executives, decision-makers and professionals to build meaningful relationships and explore new business opportunities.

Organised by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Qatar, in collaboration with the American, German and French Chambers of Commerce and the Dutch Business Council, the event reflects the strength of international cooperation and the shared commitment to supporting business growth in Qatar.

The Italian, German, and Dutch Ambassadors to Qatar honoured the event with their participation, demonstrating support for their respective business communities and the importance of international economic cooperation.

Opening the evening’s speeches, Palma Libotte, President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Qatar, thanked the partner organisations, Earthna, partner of Qatar Sustainability Week, and the event’s sponsors for their continued support.

“Back 2 Business stands strong because our international business community stands strong,” said Libotte. “After 19 years, the enthusiasm and participation we see today reaffirm the importance of bringing people together to build relationships, exchange ideas and create new opportunities.”

Representing the German Chamber of Commerce (AHK), Ilef Ajra highlighted the importance of collective engagement and supporting local initiatives, emphasising that bringing the international business community together helps strengthen collaboration and contributes to Qatar’s continued development.

The evening also provided an opportunity for business leaders to reflect on the importance of maintaining strong professional networks in an evolving global environment. Jay Turk, Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in Qatar, stressed the value of trust and collaboration in building successful business relationships.

The strong response to the event demonstrates that, despite regional and global challenges, Doha’s international business community remains engaged, connected and determined to move forward. Face-to-face networking continues to play a vital role in building trust, exchanging ideas and creating opportunities across industries and borders.

Speaking about the value of international cooperation, Sandrine Lescauroux, Managing Director of the French Chamber of Commerce in Qatar (CCIF), highlighted how initiatives such as Back 2 Business help foster lasting partnerships and create new opportunities across sectors and nationalities.

The evening combined open networking with a dedicated Executive Speed Networking session, giving selected managers and senior decision-makers the opportunity to introduce their organisations, identify potential synergies and establish valuable professional connections.

With its longstanding history and growing international participation, Back 2 Business continues to demonstrate that successful business communities are built on strong relationships, shared ambition and the willingness to create opportunities together.

Nineteen years of connections. One international community. Back 2 Business stands strong.
